<p>We had a fantastic afternoon out on the Texas flats with Niki and a couple of her friends. March is a great time to target the variety of inshore species found in the Conn Brown Harbor area, and we made the most of the clear conditions and great water we had throughout the day.</p><p>Right from the start, the action was steady. We started off by running to a school of fish Capt. Cory had found in the morning quickly hooking into a nice Black Drum. Niki was all smiles as she fought that fish, and the energy just built from there. We kept the lures and live bait moving, and the Red Drum (also known as Redfish) started to show up. <div>today's trip started off slow after a huge storm blew through dropping a lot of rain with an east wind.&nbsp; most of our bites came around 930-10 a.m..&nbsp; we were still able to pull a few good reds for dinner but definitely had to work for them</div>

<div>This week the bite has been exceptional!&nbsp; I expect it to change as we move into the full moon over the next couple of days and be a little tougher bite.&nbsp; That being said we have just had a bunch of new fish enter the bay and flat system and the summer bite is in full swing.</div>

<div>The trip started off with a slow bite in the morning but warmed up as we continued.&nbsp; &nbsp;it ended up being a good day pulling a Texas Slam all on artificials.&nbsp;</div>

<div>The bite was slow with full moon coming into play.&nbsp; We could visually see redfish however they did not want to eat.&nbsp; We changed our game plan and started looking for drum and boy did we find them.&nbsp;&nbsp;</div>

<div>we had a great bite this morning at the back of the minor.&nbsp; we had a three man limit of reds by 9am with several released.&nbsp; all fish were caught on menhayden and perch with the bite slowing around 930.</div>

<div>The bite started out great with it picking up all the way through the major.&nbsp; We caught multiple trout all morning through the major with the bite slowing around 1030.&nbsp; We changed locations and scratched out a few redfish all on down south plastics.</div>

<div>We started off the morning looking for bait on the flats with a falling tide.&nbsp; it was very foggy with less than 100yrds visibility.&nbsp; the minor was at 830 with the majority of our bites from 8-930.&nbsp; we caught multiple redfish and a few black drum all on shrimp.</div>

<div>We started the day off with a low tide wading the edges of flats and cuts.&nbsp; We had a great bite today starting off catching multiple trout.&nbsp; As the morning progressed we found the reds and capitalized catching several reds as well.&nbsp; All fish were caught on 1/16oz jig head using paddletails by down south and knockin tail in darker colors with the murky water and SE wind.</div>

<div>Today we started off at 715am locating bait on the edges of channels and guts at the bottom of the tide.&nbsp; The bite today was good with a 30mph SW wind with most of the bites 1hr before the minor.&nbsp; All fish were caught on dead shrimp.&nbsp;</div>

<div>Water temps were in the upper 40's this morning with a strong north wind.&nbsp; We fished a falling tide with major between 1030 and 1230 where the majority of the bites came from.</div><div>All fish caught were on dead shrimp on edges of channels adjoining flats in 2-4ft of water.&nbsp; We ended the day around 1pm with a 4 man limit of reds with several released.</div>

<div><b>Today we were wade fishing post frontal with water temps between 51 and 54 degrees.&nbsp; outside temperature 40 degrees with a 20mph North wind and light drizzle.</b></div><div><b>All fish were caught on paddle tails and burner shad by knockin tail lures and down south.&nbsp; we had a very good bite despite conditions ending the morning trip with 16 redfish and 3 flounder.</b></div>

<div>Today I was using a Daiwa Coastal TWS 200 reel paired with an uglystick carbon rod.&nbsp; We were fishing plastics by Knockin Tail Lures and Down South in green pumpkin colors on a 1/16 jig head</div>
